About
Sarah Sumner Kuhn
I'm the youngest of seven children born to parents who never earned high school diplomas. Although at age 25 and with five small children at home, my mother completed her GED. My childhood isn't an uncommon story of difficulties making ends meet and often going without; even having moments of receiving extra assistance. As a result I'm very mindful of money matters, but I did fall into the college credit trap of some frivolous spending. After accepting a banking position, I was able to self-adjust to smarter decisions about money. With nearly five years' experience in retail banking and supervising, building a family of my own and tackling financial maturity straight-on, I've gained a lot of experience - good and bad - and continue to grow on the daily. I'm a lover of list-making, perpetual over planning, and ensuring every purchase is a deal. Just on the line of Gen X and Millennial, I'm young at heart but have an old soul.
