The government also consists of a city manger, currently held by Reyes Medrano Jr. Medrano is responsible for ensuring delivery of municipal services to the community, economic development initiatives, and budget creation. City Manager Medrano began his career with the city of Tolleson as an administrative assistant and dispatcher for the Chief of Police.

After completing his Bachelor's degree in management and Master's degree in education, Medrano became the management assistant in the City Manager's office. Two years later he was promoted to Assistant City Manager. In 2005 Medrano stepped into the role of City Manager, which is the position he currently holds.
