San Luis Arizona Payday Loans

San Luis, which is Spanish for Saint Louis, was the second fastest growing community in Arizona between the years of 1990-2000. In 2006, it was home to an estimated 22,634 residents. It is located in Yuma County.

The city was established in 1930 as a border-crossing town and now offers a great advantage for trade between the United States and Mexico. It is located in the southwestern side of Arizona. Between 1980 and 2000, the population increased by almost 19,000 residents. The growth was contributed to the migration from Mexico. The city has annexed 16,000 acres of land in the last six years to help make room for the constant growth. An estimated 89% of the population is Hispanic.

San Luis's economy centers around retail trade, agriculture, and manufacturing.
There are a few attractions close to the town of San Luis. One is the old Territorial Prison, Fort Yuma, and Fort Yuma Thomas Mission. The Colorado River is a place for fishing, boating, swimming, and other recreational water activities.

A Mayor-Council group runs the city. Mayor Juan Carlos Escamilla was elected in 2006 and will serve at least until 2010. Vice Mayor is Tony Reyes Jr. who will serve the same term.
