Page is a small town located near Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon Dam in Coconino County, Arizona. Page currently has an estimated population of 6,794 residents. The town has approximately 2,342 households with a population density of 410 people per square mile. The racial makeup of the town is predominately Caucasian and Native American, however there is also an African American and Asian presence as well. Home of two of the largest electrical generation units in the western part of the United States, Page is perched atop Manson Mesa at an elevation of 4,300 feet above sea level.

In 1957 the land known as Page was purchased from the Navajo Indian Tribe to provide housing for families of the men constructing the Glen Canyon Dam. In the 1960s after the Glen Canyon Dam was completed the population began to rise at a steady pace until reaching its current population. The bridges and roads that were developed for the Dam construction allow residents and tourists to access Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. The Dam attracts more than three million tourists each year. Page also developed a coal-fired steam power plant, known as the Navajo Generating Station, which is capable of producing more than 2,250,000 kilowatts.

The residents of Page are proud of the development of the Page Unified School District, which consists of two elementary schools, a middle school, and a high school. The town is also proud of the films that were shot on the land. Films such as Into The Wild, Hulk, Planet of the Apes, Evolution, Maverick, and Superman III were all shot in Page, Arizona.
