The town of Chino Valley is governed by a Mayor-Council system. Mayor elect is Karen Fann. Joel Baker serves as Vice Mayor. The Council Members include Jim Bunker, Pat Purdin, Virginia Reid, Ron Romley, and Gloria Moore.
Heritage Middle School, which teaches sixth through eighth graders four award winning teachers. Two have won the County Teachers of the Year Award and two have won the Channel 3 Silver Apple Teachers Award. The school district employs 158 certified teachers.
